Rocambole Garlic is a hardneck variety and considered by many to be a gourmet garlic; superior for roasting with a mellow flavour. Rocambole Bulbs and cloves and bulbs are quite easy to peel, which make it as favorite in the Kitchen. Currently we grow two varieties of Rocambole, Russian Red and Marino, their bulbs are moderately large and can have 8 to 12 cloves. One of our favorite varieties, Rocambole plants have broader leaves than the Porcelains, and they do not grow as tall. Their bulb wrapper usually have red, pinkish and purplish colours, and when harvested the cloves are encased in a reddish brown skin. A very attractive plant & delicious to eat!
